The Spooner Civic Center is a 90,000 square foot full-service community hub. Featuring an NHL size sheet of ice. The Ice arena features seating for roughly 1,200 seated fans and another 200-300 standing room only. A full-service beer garden is located within the arena on the mezzanine level. As you enter the main level of the building you will find easy access to Northwest team offices, concession area, and merchandise stand as well as elevator access to all levels of the building. Staying on the main floor, the Civic Center houses a Full-Service Bar and Restaurant named "The Station". Locker room space for both home and away junior teams, home team dry room and players' lounge as well as office space for the Northwest Express.
Moving downstairs, you will find an 8,000 square foot multi-purpose gym facility. With over 60 machines and training tools in place, this portion of the building is a hidden gem for the Northwest Express that call the Civic Center home.
Lastly, we move back upstairs to the mezzanine level where the 6,000 square foot ballroom is located. This multi-use room plays host to a wide range of events and can be utilized in many ways. Adjacent to the ballroom, you will find the office space for our USA Hockey youth organization, Spooner Area Youth Hockey. Also located on this level is a ¼ mile walking track, 4 youth hockey locker rooms, storage and access to the press box.
