​Northwest Express Fight to Take 1pt on the Road vs. Steele County Blades
December 12th, Four Season Center in Owatonna, 7:00 PM.
 
Period 1:
The Steele County Blades kicked off the scoring with a goal from #14, Alexander Wilkey at 1:01, assisted by #6 John Scott & #19, Michael Longmire. The Express answered back with a goal at 9:03 by #18, Zachary Halling, assisted by #12, Preston Lundbohm.  The Express would add one more goal before the period ended with a goal by #5 Brandon Behnke at 12:53, with an assist again going to #12 Preston Lundohm. The Express would head to the locker room with a 2-1 advantage.

Period 2:
The Northwest Express started the scoring in the 2nd period with a goal from #9, Alex Themmes at 3:55 into the period, with assists from #91, Ethan Bellamy and #28, Jacob Alexander, making it 3-1 in favor of the Express.  The Steele County Blades answered back at 17:36 with a goal by #11, Zachary Stinski with an assist from #9, Kade Phillips. The Express would again head to the break with a 1 score lead, 3-2.

Period 3:
The Express would again start the scoring in the third with a tally from #8, Bryce Millington just 42 seconds into the 3rd period with assists from #12, Preston Lundbohm and #5, Brandon Behnke. That would be all for the Express in the 3rd as the Blades scored at 4:36 with a goal from #21, Davin Seibel, assisted by #88, Logan Schumacker.  Scoring the Blades 2nd goal and tying the game at 18:36 in the third was #9, Kade Phillips with assists from #11, Zachary Stinski and #16, Maxime Vernier sending the game into OT.

Overtime:
At 1:44 of the 5 minute overtime, #6, John Scott of the Blades cinched the win with assists from #8, Manson Ford and #14, Alexander Wilkey.

Goaltending:
NW Express - #35, Rylan Freshwater – 32 Saves on 37 Shots
Steele County Blades - #29, Braedyn Sullivan – 28 Saves on 32 Shots
