Minnesota Mullets Edge Northwest Express in 5-4 Thriller

In an intense back-and-forth contest, the Minnesota Mullets secured a 5-4 victory over the Northwest Express, with a last-minute goal by Cade Anderson sealing the deal for the visitors in front of 332 fans.
First Period: Express Strike EarlyThe Northwest Express opened the scoring at 6:30 when Connor Corcoran netted a goal off a setup from Preston Lundbohm and Brenden Wolff. A penalty-heavy period ensued, with the Mullets' Jovan Fowler receiving a major spearing penalty and a game misconduct as the clock expired, setting the tone for a physical battle.
Second Period: Trading GoalsThe Mullets equalized just 1:33 into the second frame through Marco Casinelli, assisted by Brodie Raygor. The Express quickly responded on the power play at 2:48 when Derek McGrew buried a goal with help from Harrison Browning and Wolff. However, the Mullets' Max Young reclaimed the tie at 6:17, converting assists from Cole Taylor and Kody Niederkorn.
Third Period: Dramatic FinishMax Young continued his stellar night, scoring 23 seconds into the third to give the Mullets their first lead. The Express fought back, with Harrison Browning scoring at 8:54 and Eli Underhill tying the game at 16:45. Despite their efforts, Anderson's goal at 19:41 dashed the Express's hopes, as Mitchell Nelson and Cody Thomas provided the decisive assists.
